The history of Hong Kong cricket is marred by the tragic shipwreck of the P&O Steamship SS Bokhara,10th October, 1892. On board was the Hong Kong cricket team, returning home from an Interport match against Shanghai. Eleven of the thirteen team members perished, along with 114 passengers and crew.
A letter from the Commodore to the Governor dated 9th June 1893, states that a report had been received from Captain FW Hawkes of HMS Mercury reporting that a monument to the Bokhara had been safely erected on Sand Island.

FALKLAND ISLANDS WAR: 'HMS Macedonia" an armed liner took GERMAN PRISIONERS to England after the War.

MacGregor on an expedition to punish a preditoty tribe - TUGERI. Fly River & Paga Hill. Refers to attack on Tugeri Camp by 24 native Policemen. London Missionary Society references & much more.
